The Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services (OEPS) is a part of the West Virginia Department of Health Bureau for Public Health. Its website contains information on infectious and sexually transmitted diseases, immunizations guidelines, cancer registry, public health informatics, and important public health events.
More than 150 employees help achieve the OEPS mission of tracking the occurrence of diseases, providing preventive interventions, and educating the public on protecting themselves from diseases. The mission of the West Virginia Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services is to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for all West Virginians through health research, analyzation, education and prevention services.
