REPORTING GUIDELINES
Facilities and Providers:
Report the following to the Local Health Department within the required timeframe
- Influenza-associated pediatric mortality: One Week
- Novel Influenza: Immediately
- Outbreaks: Immediately
Laboratories:
Report the following to the Local Health Department within the required timeframe
- Novel Influenza: Immediately
- Outbreaks: Immediately
Report positive influenza tests in aggregate by completing an electronic Influenza laboratory Reporting Form
- Tests to include: PCR, immunofluorescence, and culture
- Tests to exclude: serology and rapid antigen detection
- Reporting period: Weekly Sunday through Saturday, with report due the following Monday
